Joburg man startles robbers

A Johannesburg man was wounded by robbers who opened fire on him when he surprised them breaking into his Kibler Park home in the early hours of Saturday, said ER24.

Spokesperson Riana Beech said the man, in his mid-40s, came across the robbers while investigating noises outside the house at 4.30am.

One of them shot him in his upper left arm.

She said he was taken to the Chris Hani-Baragwanath Hospital where he was in a stable condition.

The robbers fled empty-handed. Beech said Mondeor police were investigating. - Sapa
