Johannesburg - A man was shot and wounded by a group of
armed men who were trying to hijack his daughter in Randburg, paramedics
said on Wednesday.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Trevor Putterill said the man was
trying to save his daughter from the men who had followed her to her Robin
Hills home on Tuesday night.
"As the group of four men approached her she started hooting.
Her father was at home and came to her aid," said Putterill.
"He was shot in his chest but was in a stable condition."
Putterill said the man shot back at his attackers, but they
managed to get away.
He was taken to Netcare Olivedale hospital where he was
in a stable condition.
