Murder 'could've been revenge'

Durban - A man returning home from a trial where he was
accused of murder was gunned down in the northern KwaZulu-Natal town of
Gingingdlovu, police said on Friday.
Superintendent Jay Naicker said 23-year Ndoda Nzuza was
shot five times by an unknown man as he alighted from a taxi in the Amabhokweni
area of Gingingdlovu. The gunman jumped into a white Toyota Corolla, which
then sped off.
Nzuza was returning from Durban's Verulam Magistrate's
Court where he was the accused for a murder that took place in Durban's
KwaMashu area.
Naicker said police suspected that Nzuza "may have
been" followed by his killer from the Verulam Magistrate's Court.
"Although we have not identified any person that may
have been responsible for the murder, we suspect that this could have
been a revenge killing."
Naicker said Nzuza was held responsible for the murder of
a close friend during a drunken brawl in 2006 and that ever since then
there had been a feud between the two families.
